Maple Ridge Modular Office

Sticks Building Products: Maple Ridge Modular Office

For Immediate Release:
North Vancouver BC Canada
July 7, 2014

Westcoast Outbuildings is pleased to announce it’s just signed on to build a 10′ x 24′ Modular Office for Sticks Building Products of North Vancouver BC.

Sticks is relocating their Materials Yard to Maple Ridge BC in the fall of 2014. As part of that relocation they need a Portable Office Buildings.

Sticks went to BC’s largest Modular Building builder but they were unable to supply the right style of building in the timeline required. They couldn’t meet our client’s needs. Ultimately a “Construction Trailer” would not meet the design standards for the Kanaka  Business Park.

Galiano Island Cabin – Weekend Getaway

Modular Galiano Island Cabin

As time goes on we are starting to love working on Recreational Property projects. One like our Mayne Island Modular Cabin or the recent delivery of our Demo Shed to Saturna Island.

There is simply something magical about jumping on a BC Ferry and and heading out to the Gulf Islands. So quick to get there (45 min by ferry) yet a world away once you’re there.

Our most recent project was a Modern / Rustic cabin for a client on Galiano Island.

Gulf Islands Land For Sale

“We have a lot of properties for sale right now and prices are very attractive when compared to previous years,” says Janet Moore of Royal LePage Nanaimo Realty, Ladysmith Branch. “This region has long been popular for buyers so it is unlikely that the softer prices will last long, as sales are already slightly up from last year.”

Saturna Island Cabin Delivery

Saturn Island Cabin Delivery – Remote Property

Some of you may have been following the recent sale we had for our Tradeshow Demo Unit.

Due to some changes in our business model we decided it was time to part ways with this beauty and pass her down to someone who could get more use out of it than we currently were.

Once the high bidder was selected it was time to start figuring out how to get this building to it’s new home on the Southern Shores of Saturna Island.

Frateral Modern-Shed Twins

His & Hers in Harmony

by

BOTHELL WASHINGTON — When Alyse and Jesse Combs discovered Modern-Shed, they realized that it was exactly what they’d been looking for.

A huge fan of the online pinning board Pinterest, Alyse often found herself perusing the site’s garden section, pinning photos of a variety of greenhouses that might complement her backyard.

More and more, she began to see photos of sheds that looked more like modular, chic studios, rather than a typical garden tool shed.

After more research, Alyse discovered Modern-Shed, based in neighbouring Seattle.

David Vs Goliath Battle to live in Toronto Tiny House

Man Fights City Hall to allow Toronto TINY HOUSE Living.

It really is time for all “City Halls” Across North America to consider #Tinyhouse living. Especially when the average #Vancouver house is $1M+

Here is a story on the Toronto Star about a Man fighting City Hall to allow Tiny House Living.

A Toronto man is trying to get the city to embrace his pint-sized housing plan.

The proposed home will be cubelike, trailer-sized and wheeled — although not for the purpose of driving — and completely self-sustainable.

The problem? On paper, it sounds exactly like a standard travel trailer, and city zoning is clear: You can’t live out of a vehicle.

In reality, Anthony Moscar says his home will be anything but.

“Trailers are these temporary places . . . there’s no sense of having to be concerned about anything for the long term, because eventually you’re going to reconnect to a power source,” he says. “The tiny house isn’t any of that.”
